Tips for college

College can be a very stressful and demanding experience, but it can also be extremely rewarding. The best way to make your college experience less stressful is to put in the work to be successful. In life it not about working harder it's about working smarter. Here are some tips for surviving college. Tip #1 become your professors best friend. The professor is the one that will ultimately give you your final grade, so it's good to establish a good connection with them. The benefits of befriending your professor are endless; if the professor knows you well he most likely will try to give guidance if you reach out for help, the professor might curve your grade if he sees your putting in effort to do well, or give you extra credit. Tip #2 try to finish assignments as soon as you are available. By finishing assignments as soon as possible you can get everything out of the way and have time to relax. If you have kids and responsibilities and aren't able to do your work that's apart of life. When you get the chance to have free time you should try to get your all your assignments work done. When you get the work out of the way you can focus on other things like relaxing or spending time with your family. Tip #3 highlighting is helpful. After you highlight textbook when you're ready to review for the test it makes it easier to remember. #4 Attending the lecture is a better option than watching the lecture online. It easy to drift of and do other things when your home trying to watch the lecture , if you attend the lecture you will be less distracted. Tip #4 Make flashcards when you have flashcards it makes it easier to remember information when studying for the examination. Flashcards help to solidify the key terms and examples. After making the flash card you will find that you are remembering information more quickly on the test. Tip #5 study in different environments. I found that when I changed up my surroundings while studying I was able to remember, and concentrate more effectively. I was also was able to recall information more quickly.
